Somerset County Park Commission Neshanic Valley Golf Course

The Junior Golf Program was organized to introduce and promote the game of golf to boys and girls, ages 6-17. The program begins with the basic information and progresses from one level to another. It also offers the junior golfer an opportunity to have fun playing the game in a comfortable and supervised atmosphere, as well as an opportunity to compete. Registration will be conducted at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course Learning Center on March 2, 2013. For additional information, please call the Park Commission at 908 369-1458 ext. 428.

Spring Golf Skill Building
April 2 – 23 (Tuesdays) 4pm – 6pm
May 7 – 28 (Tuesdays) 4pm – 6pm
Fee: $150 for one month/$275 to register for both months
Prep for Golf Season with a review of past instruction. Staff will cover warm-up drills, grip, swing mechanics, and practice tips for new season. Prerequisite: must have some playing experience

This program is geared toward younger juniors (ages 12 and under) to give them a first exposure to the game of golf.

26th Annual Junior Golf School
Neshanic Valley Golf Course Learning Center
June 3 - 7, June 10 - 14 6pm – 8pm
June 17 - 21, July 8 - 12, July 22 - 26 9am – 11am
August 5 - 9, August 19 - 23 9am – 11am
Fee: $150 / $275 for two sessions
This week long program starts at the cup and works back. Children will start off with the short game and work toward mid-irons, and by the end of the week will be using woods. The program also covers rules, golf etiquette, and playing
experience on the practice holes.

Junior Golf Camp
Neshanic Valley Golf Course
June 24 - 28, July 15 - 19, July 29 - Aug 2, Aug 12 - 16, and Aug 26 - 30 9am - 3pm
Fee: $400 per week
This program is for the dedicated Junior (ages 10 - 17) that wants to spend the whole week golfing. Every day we will play at least 18-holes of supervised play with group lessons on each side of the round.

Academy Course Junior Golf League
Neshanic Valley Academy Course
Wednesdays, June 26 - August 21
Fee: $20 league registration plus weekly greens fee
Weekly 9-hole competition played on the Neshanic Valley Academy Course. Awards will be distributed at the Junior Golfers Recognition Night.
